LA Direct Models is pleased to announce the signing of Monique Alexander to an additional two year contract with Vivid Entertainment. The starlet, who has been with the top talent agency for 2 years, completed her one year commitment with Vivid Entertainment in December 2005 and was offered the two year contract extension based on her popularity, beauty, professional and personable attitude, not to mention her smokin’ sex scenes.

Derek Hay, owner of LA Direct Models was by Monique’s side as she signed her new contracts at the Vivid Entertainment office and said. “Monique has been a joy to work for. Beautiful and charming, she has lived up to every expectation in her first year at Vivid and been rewarded with a generous extension of her contract for a further two years which gives her a home there for three years. We wish her continued success at Vivid and thank her for being such a great role model to our newer girls.”

Terms of the extension call for Alexander to appear in 24 scenes and attend several personal appearances for the premiere adult feature film studio. Fans can also expect to see Monique debut in her first anal scene sometime in 2006.

“I think Vivid is an amazing company and am honored that they chose to extend my contract. My agent Derek was right by my side explaining everything this contract had to offer just as he did the first time and I thank him for being there, he really and truly is the best agent”, said Monique, who is thrilled to re-sign with the company she has called home for the past year. “Personally, I am really stepping up my game this year by doing my first anal scene and I can’t wait to start filming new footage for my fans to see.”

Performer and director Kylie Ireland has left Platinum X and signed a deal with DVSX to direct gonzo videos.

Ireland, who had been with Platinum X since 2002, said the split with that company was amicable and added that she hopes to build on her past work at DVSX.

“I’m grateful that Jewel De’Nyle brought me over to Platinum X and gave me a chance to direct when other people wouldn’t,” Ireland said.

“But when this offer came, I felt I had to take it. DVSX has some really great people.”

Under the deal, Ireland would direct one video per month, but would not be restricted from directing with other companies. The contract does not include performing, but Ireland said she only performs occasionally these days.

Other details of the deal were confidential.

“I just enjoy directing more than performing. That’s what happens when you’ve been a performer for as long as I have,” said Ireland, who first broke into the business in 1995 when she earned Best New Starlet at the AVN awards.

Alex Ladd, DVSX head of production, said he was always impressed by Ireland’s dedication to quality in her work.

“She shoots really well and there’s a real quality in what she does,” he said.

A Colorado native and 2005 inductee into the AVN Hall of Fame, Ireland said she understands what it takes to be a successful director.

“You have to bring people together,” she said. “When you have a good cast – people that really enjoy this and aren’t in it for the money – then you’re going to succeed.”

Ladd said Ireland’s first project is scheduled to be an S&M video not yet titled. It’s slated to begin shooting next month.

Red Light District has signed director Martin Del Toro to a one-year, exclusive contract. The European Del Toro is the director of such titles as Public Affairs and Under Pimp Arrest.

“We saw Martin Del Toro as the next, big upcoming director, and so we signed him to a year contract,” said Red Light District president David Joseph. “That way other companies won’t be able to get their hands on him for at least another year.

“Red Light District will sign more great directors in the future, so I guess it’s onward and upward.”

Del Toro told that he’s “very happy and excited” about signing on with Red Light District. He hasn’t directed for Red Light in the past, so he was very surprised when they approached him during the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas last weekend.

Del Toro plans on doing four videos a month with Red Light District. “I told [Red Light District] to keep me busy, and they said they would. Finally, someone understands my views and vision of porn,” Del Toro exclaimed. “Porn is my life; I eat, sleep and piss it.”

Del Toro continued by saying that he’s “really stoked about having an office at Red Light District, right next to some of the directors that I’ve admired even before I got into the porn industry.”

Jules Jordan, the most celebrated gonzo director currently working in adult, is leaving Evil Angel after five years to form his own distribution/production company, Jules Jordan Video.

“I have a background in sales in this business for about six years,” Jordan, who joined Evil in 2001 after getting his start at Rosebud, told. “Working at IVD, I really learned the wholesale end of the business, as well as the production, and it’s just a natural step to take” to form his own distribution company.

Jordan had nothing but praise for Evil Angel and founder John Stagliano.

“Evil Angel is the greatest company in the business right now,” he said. “And I have total respect for John Stagliano and everybody in that office. I consider John a great friend and a mentor, but I just have to do what’s right for myself and my company and to get into what I know, which is the distribution end.”

Jordan said that Stagliano, when informed by Jordan of his decision to leave Evil, was naturally disappointed.

“But John’s an understanding person and he understands when you want to better yourself,” Jordan said. “He’s all for it.”

Stagliano returned Jordan’s compliments.

“It’s been great working with Jules Jordan,” the man whose Buttman alter ego was instrumental in launching the gonzo revolution in the late 1980s, said. “He’s a very talented director and a hard driving businessman. I’m sure he’s going to be tough competition. I hope we’re up to the challenge, and I know as a fan, that I’m going to get better product to watch because of this.”

Stagliano’s wife, former performer Tricia Devereaux, echoed her husband’s sentiments.

“Jules really pays attention to his product and his consumer base,” she said. “I really believe he’s going to do great. We will miss him at Evil Angel on many levels. I’ll especially miss the talks I had with him over the years, chit-chatting about everything from female performers to movies to life in general.

“However, we realize that the only thing better than owning your own product at a successful distribution company would be owning your own product and successfully distributing it yourself.”

Evil will continue to distribute Jordan’s titles until March, when Jordan will start distributing them himself. Jordan said he is taking his entire catalog of high-end, hard-edge gonzo from his Evil years with him.

“Every title is going to be re-packaged and re-edited,” he said.

The first release from Jules Jordan Video will be Jenna Haze’s Darkside, set to street in mid-March, Jordan said.

Massive Studio told GAYVN today that it has just signed an exclusive distribution deal with Pulse Distribution. The agreement is effective immediately.

Massive’s first release through Pulse will be Hard Mechanics 2 on January 30. Pulse will also assume distribution of Massive Studio’s existing library which includes the Hard Cops series and Trucker.

John Bruno, owner of Massive Studio (and also recently assigned to direct the Mustang Studios line for Falcon), was very enthusiastic about the agreement. “I am thrilled to be working with Jim Kohls, Mark Hamilton and their distribution team. Wicked Pictures is proud to announce that Company President and Owner Steve Orenstein has signed award-winning veteran actor Randy Spears an exclusive contract with the company.

The union of Wicked and Spears is a natural one, as the versatile actor has received the AVN Award for Best Supporting Actor - Video consecutively for the last three years thanks to his fine work with the company and won the trade publication’s coveted Best Actor - Video award in 2000 for his hilarious turn in Jonathan Morgan’s “Double Feature.”

This celebrated performer is currently up for several Wicked-related 2006 AVN nominations, including Best Actor - Film for Brad Armstrong’s “Eternity” and Best Supporting Actor - Video for Armstrong’s “One Man’s Obsession.”

Jenna Jameson announced the finalists for Playboy TV’s “Jenna’s American Sex Star” at the Club Jenna booth Friday during the AVN Entertainment Expo in Las Vegas.

The field has been narrowed down to Tiffany Taylor, Michelle Maylene, Lacie Heart and Jameson’s personal “wildcard” finalist, Brea Bennett, who was chosen from the pool of previously eliminated contestants.

All four finalists will appear on Playboy TV’s “Private Calls Live” at 6 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT this Friday to interact with callers and help stimulate voting. Fresh from her 2006 AVN Award for Most Outrageous Sex Scene for the horror spoof Re-Penetrator, adult performer Joanna Angel has announced that her company, Burning Angel Entertainment, has signed exclusively with Pulse Distribution for worldwide DVD, broadcast and mobile distribution of Burning Angel releases.

Burning Angel is the video production arm of the BurningAngel.com website, whose plan is to incorporate the essence of the website into its movies with “hip and trashy porn scenes” as well as celebrity signings and band interviews.

Mark Hamilton, owner of Pulse Distribution, said, “We cannot be more excited about our relationship with Joanna and Burning Angel as they create truly unique movies for adult fans.
