Puma Swede

Black Widow Productions has signed feature dancer and critically acclaimed performer Puma Swede to a non-exclusive contract.

Swede, a busty and blonde star from Sweden, is a former contract girl for Black Widow-distributed AntiInnocence Video and made her hardcore boy/girl debut in the studio’s Puma Swede’s School of Hardcore. She signed at Black Widow’s booth during the 2006 AVN Adult Entertainment Expo and can also be found in AntiInnocence’s all-anal Pussyhaters. Swede will appear on behalf of Black Widow for promotional events and have the opportunity to appear in Black Widow-distributed titles.

“I’m very excited to be a part of Black Widow,” Swede said. “They distribute some of the hottest titles in adult, from around the world and I’m looking forward to a long partnership with them and bringing their titles to buyers and customers of the adult industry.”

Ric Williams, president of Black Widow, said Swede is a natural match to his company.

“With her work in Europe and the US, Puma’s a very international performer,” Williams said. “In the same way, we bring in some of Europe’s most recognizable titles into the US, and we take high-quality and critically-acclaimed titles produced in the US for distribution in Europe. Adult’s an international business now, and we’re very mindful of that when it comes to distribution for our clients.

“We’re looking forward to a long and prosperous relationship with Puma,” he added.

Savanna Samson

Vivid Girl Savanna Samson told Wednesday she has started her own production company that will unveil its first title in March.

Savanna Samson Productions (SSP) will be exclusively distributed by Vivid Entertainment Group, which will release one of her movies each year.

Samson’s first SSP project marks her debut in an interactive production. It’s called Any Way You Want Me, and features the starlet playing three parts: “the desperate housewife, the millionaire mistress, and the president of a company.”

“Vivid doesn’t have any interactives so this is kind of fun,” Samson said. “You get to pick and choose your positions and all those things, and it’s non-condom. I like the idea of practicing safe sex, but I don’t like to see it.”

Samson said all her productions would be non-condom, adding, “To each his own, although I prefer not to watch safe sex.”

The New York City-based star will also begin shooting a trilogy called Savanna Samson is Rocket Queen. She said principal photography would likely begin by summer.

“I’m looking for an arch rival, somebody totally nasty, somebody so opposite of me. I think it would make such as hot scene,” Samson said.

She revealed that “zero gravity sex,” are among the concepts she’s developing for the project.

“I would suck dick while floating in the air,” Samson said. “… The whole trilogy is really something so exciting to look forward to. The whole concept and all the ideas we have. I met with a record label that wants to do the soundtrack. It’s going to be off the charts.”

Samson indicated that she is working with some mainstream directors and production personnel on the new venture.

“They’ve seen my work in [The New Devil in Miss Jones],” said Samson, who won the 2006 AVN Award for Best Actress – Film for her performance as Miss Jones.

Samson, who also recently created her own wine company called Savanna Wines, has had her sights on a production company.

“I’ve always wanted to do it,” she said, adding that she has written down several of her sexual fantasies and ideas that could be used as material. “I just feel that I’m a businesswoman at heart and I’m very proud to be a Vivid Girl. I wouldn’t just branch out on my own without having Vivid and [co-chairman] Steven [Hirsch] behind me. I feel like I can do anything with them behind me. I feel like Vivid will keep my name very alive even when I’m done performing in front of the camera.”

She continued, “I just want to use my artistry, and be the businesswoman I am, and be in charge of my own future. Vivid is standing behind me in all aspects.”

Samson still has five years left on her Vivid contract, which calls for her to perform in six movies a year.

“I’ve been doing this huge tour for the Vivid/Club Jenna Bowl [on Friday in Detroit} and I’ve found that everyone knows about the AVN Awards,” she said. “I went on the radio and I thought I’d be talking about the Vivid/Club Jenna Bowl and they want to talk about Devil and my awards.”

Chi Chi LaRue leaves Vivid

Chi Chi LaRue

Director Chi Chi LaRue has stopped directing straight productions exclusively for Vivid Entertainment Group effective immediately due to Vivid changing its condom-only policy.

“I was scheduled to do a Savanna [Samson] movie and I was informed that the company is going condom-optional and that’s absolutely their right and I totally understand it,” LaRue told. “But, as a person who has been very vocal about condom usage in every aspect of the gay business as well as the straight and as a person who went to work for Vivid because of their mandatory condom policy, I had to stop directing for them once it became condom-optional.”

LaRue was very positive overall about his time with the company.

“I love Vivid. They gave me a great opportunity to make some really cool movies for them and actually won some awards for them, which was great,” La Rue said.

LaRue may direct the Where The Boys Aren’t series along with other all-girl features for the company in the future but he stood firm on his pro-condom stance.

“It’s my policy to use condoms and it would be very hypocritical of me after how vocal I’ve been in this industry in the gay and straight sides to continue to do movies and not use condoms. I love directing straight porn and I’m going to miss it greatly but hopefully, there will be something I can do down the pike for Vivid or another company that lets me use condoms,” LaRue said.

Of LaRue ending his exclusivity with the company, Vivid’s Howard Levine said, “He’s a great director — one of the best — and I respect his decision in doing what he is doing. For a long time, he has been a major advocate of a condom-only policy and we can understand that. Unfortunately, times have changed and Vivid’s policy has now changed and I respect what he has to do. Like Steven said, it’s not financially motivated for sure. Steve doesn’t really care about the money. He cares about and has cared about people’s health and I think that he is comfortable now with the fact that the testing has been very accurate and he is giving the actors a choice and he is comfortable with giving them a choice. These are responsible adults.”

Levine summed up his respect and liking for LaRue with a smile saying, “My hat is off to Chi Chi for his commitment to his beliefs and I wish him the best but I do wish he would return the dress he borrowed from me for the AVN Awards.”
