Acid Rain has signed director/performer Benjamin Brat to an exclusive 10-picture contract. This is the company’s first contract with a director.

“Ben has paid his dues in this business. He is a pervert, and I mean that in a very good way,” said Mitchell Spinelli, owner of Acid Rain Productions. “He brings an edge and sensuality to the table, and I look forward to a long relationship.”

It has been four years since Brat started in the adult business.

“For me the next step in this process is to move behind the camera as a director and cameraman,” he said.

Brat started his career in mainstream television as a coordinating producer with numerous documentaries to his name. However, following September 11th, mainstream production went into a slump, and the television producer decided to travel around the world, finally landing in Vancouver, Canada. Seeking work, a friend of Brat’s recommended his name to an American internet porn company, where he was brought aboard as the head director for the video division.

“At this company, I developed and shot some of the earliest reality porn sites,” he said. “I started performing when I couldn’t find guys who could keep it up.” Brat then moved to Los Angeles, joined World Modeling, and started his career in adult films.

“I’ve had people who believed in me from the start, including Chris Streams from 3rd Degree, Skeeter Kerkove, and Mitch Spinelli. I’ve been working with Mitchell for the past two years and we have developed a very good working relationship,” Brat said.

Brat’s first project for Acid Rain was Filthy Anal POV, starring Brooke Haven and Courtney Cummz.

“We have customers requesting Benjamin’s work, and we have to continue to fulfill their needs,” Spinelli said. Since then, Brat has gone on to direct She’s got a Cum Fixation, Double Teamed and Creamed, Super Freak Gang Bang (starring Jasmine Byrne, Missy Monroe and Carmella), and Camel Toe Obsessions. He has also completed shooting a big butt movie called Butt Junkies.

“I see myself cutting back from performing and focusing on more directing and doing camera work,” Brat said. “I will still perform in my movies and on a limited basis with other directors that I enjoy working with. I think it’s important to stay in the game as a performer because it allows you to stay in the trenches where the action is. In this biz you have to keep your ‘A’ game sharp, which has always been my philosophy.”

The beautiful green-eyed brunette Cassidey has returned to Vivid Entertainment as a Vivid Girl and says “I’m ready to rock.” Cassidey first joined Vivid in 2000 when she was 19 and quickly became a fan favorite starring in such popular movies as Marissa, Diary of Desire, Sordid, The Black Room, The Jungle, and Tonight.

Since 2002, Cassidey said she hasn’t done any filmmaking, but she has had some interesting experiences, including working for the company that created My Space, maintaining her website and traveling around the country.

“I knew I wanted to get back to movie making and only do it with Vivid as they are the best,” says Cassidey. “When I walked into Steven Hirsch’s office I already had a storyline idea in my mind and I know that Steven will encourage me to develop it. I have a new confidence and understanding of my self-worth, and I’m also in great shape.”

Cassidey also intends to continue to pursue her digital photography hobby. “I like to photograph odd and interesting scenes and then play around with them in Photoshop. When I have enough of them, I’d like to have an exhibit,” she noted.

She will begin production on her first new Vivid movie in April.

Former Digital Playground star Devon has formed a gonzo production company where she will produce and direct as well feature Brittney Skye and seven newly-signed contract stars.

“I wanted to do the kind of movies that I’ve always wanted to do and this is the best way for me to do it,” said Devon, who left Digital Playground last fall.

Skye, will star in the new company’s titles as well as those for her own company, Tight Industries.

“I love to work with her and I love to fuck,” Skye said.

The company, whose name she plans to reveal next week, will feature seven previously unknown contract girls who are new to the industry. Their names were not revealed, but Devon said they were young newcomers who have yet to do hardcore porn.

“These are really beautiful girls who really want to get into the industry and they want to fuck,” Devon said.

CDub, Devon’s manager and partner in the venture, said the seven young starlets will be a tight-knit group akin to the Wildcats motocross group of racers who work and socialize together.

“It’s a group of girls that are going to watch each other’s back and look out for one another,” he said, noting that the mostly 21- to 22-year-old performers are drug-free and are required to stay off drugs as part of their contracts.

“They’re a good group of pretty girls who have a bad-ass side but who do really rocking scenes,” Devon said.

“We want them to support each other like a team.”

The new company will team with Black Kat Productions which will also produce movies in conjunction with Devon’s company, for domestic and international markets.

D.J. Foothill, the company’s founder, said the partnership will co-produce the company’s first title, Devon Unleashed.

The company’s contract stars will be compensated with a salary and through a residual share of sales and not paid per scene, Devon said.

“We want these girls to have a better deal than what most girls today are getting,” she said.

The team of starlets will be featured in gonzo releases shot in party locations like Lake Havasu, Cabo San Lucas and a number of other places, CDub said.

“One of the best things is that the girls are going to fuck guys who are athletes, like motocross guys, surfers and dudes they know they want to fuck,” he said.

Meanwhile, Devon is scheduled to begin a feature dancing tour this month where she will promote her new Web site, www.devonunleashed.com which is under construction.

Born in Pennsylvania, Devon joined the industry in 1998 at the urging her then boyfriend. She then made her debut that year in Pleasure Productions’ New Breed, directed by then up and coming director, Jules Jordan. She then went on to sign an exclusive Vivid contract and star in its 1998 release Country Comfort, opposite Bobby Vitale and Herschel Savage, and in Vivid’s 2003 title, Not Another Teen Porno, among others. She was also a contract girl for Jill Kelly Productions.

Jenna Jameson is starring in the first of a series of video podcast campaigns created as an advertising vehicle for sneaker maker Adidas.

In the ad, Jameson pounds the living daylights out of six cute little whack-a-mole gophers that keep popping out of a coin-fed machine. The White podcast ad is part of the revival by Adidas of a 1983 concept called Adicolor, in which the shoes could be personalized with colorful markers. According to The New York Times, more than a dozen shoppers camped out overnight in Los Angeles earlier this month to be the first to acquire a pair of plain white trainers for the relaunch of Adicolor.

The campaign launched this week.

“I had a blast making the commercial and was thrilled when I got to see the final product,” said Jameson, an AVN Hall of Fame performer. “I love Adidas and was so excited to be asked to participate in the ad. I feel fortunate to be part of the campaign.”
