Tommy Gunn has been cast in an independent mainstream film playing a martial arts fighter.

Gunn, an AVN Award winner and co-host of the recent Fans of Adult Media and Entertainment Awards, said this latest film role will give him a chance to use some of his martial arts technique.

“I’ve been training for a number of projects so when this came along, I jumped at the opportunity to show what I can do,” he said.

“I love acting. But unfortunately in our industry, they don’t let you do more than a couple of takes so I’m usually walk away from a role not satisfied.”

The film, Duel of Legends, also features Ken Shamrock, a top fighter in the Ultimate Fighting Championship circuit.

Gunn’s role comes on the heels of his work on the Sci-Fi movie Vanity Vixens, which is being developed as a series for television.

“I contemplated doing mainstream acting, but I thought I’d get lost with those other actors, so I felt I could establish myself in some arena like adult and sharpen my teeth in front of the camera before I could try for mainstream,” he said.

Gunn plans to sign with a mainstream talent agency for work in that area, but said he remains devoted to his adult work.

“It’s a chance to show what I can do and maybe something will happen there, and may be it will or maybe it won’t but I’d like to take a chance.”

Gunn has also been tapped to do modeling for an upcoming video game where his movements will be recorded on computer for use by video animators on characters for the game.

“They’re keeping everything under wraps until it comes out so I can’t really say the name of the game.”

Although he keeps a busy shooting schedule, Gunn and his wife and fellow performer Rita Faltoyano are scheduled to attend the Erotica Expo in New Zealand next month.

“They want me to go onstage and perform a little dance routine like I used to do when I did a Chippendale’s type of show.”

Adult performer Demi Delia has left Sticky Bunz Productions after signing an exclusive contract with the company last month.

“I’m excited to get back to working again with other companies and especially with a lot of other girls,” said Delia, who performs girl-girl scenes and only does boy-girl scenes with her husband, veteran performer Randy Spears.

Vivid Entertainment Group has signed an exclusive U.S. retail distribution agreement for its DVDs with Pulse Distribution, a fast growing Chatsworth, Calif.-firm headed by industry veterans Jim Kohls and Mark Hamilton.

The agreement takes effect on August 1, at which time Vivid’s retail distribution staff will move to Pulse from Larry Flynt Publications (LFP), which has handled Vivid’s retail distribution since August 2002.

“We’ve looked at our options going forward and I think that working with Jim Kohls and Mark Hamilton makes the most sense for us,” said Steven Hirsch, co-chairman of Vivid. “We think they have a great track record and feel that they are the best guys to handle our product. We have had an excellent relationship with LFP and we hope to work with the company on other projects in the future.”

Kohls, who formerly served as president of the LFP distribution arm, remarked, “I’ve known and enjoyed working with Steve and [co-chairman] Bill [Asher] for many years. They made Vivid the number one brand in the adult industry, and we’re really pleased to be working closely with them again.”

Shy Love has signed an exclusive contract with Hustler Video, the company announced today.

Love will appear in an unspecified number of movies for Hustler and will also direct her own line of videos for the company which is part of LFP Inc. Other terms of the deal were not disclosed. Love joins Hustler’s other contract star, Memphis Monroe.

“I’m extremely excited to have a girl of Shy’s caliber represent Hustler,” said Jeff Hawkins, LFP’s senior vice president.

“She is a quality director and we can’t wait to work with her in all aspects.”

Love said she was pleased to join the company, having worked on a number of previous projects at LFP.

“On a personal level, Hustler has been like family to me over the past three years,” she said.

“On a business level, working with an established company like Hustler will give me the opportunity to achieve more than I could by myself.”

Love, who holds a master’s degree in accounting and taxation, said she hopes the deal would expand her name recognition and branding.

“It feels great that they not only see me as talent, but as a director and someone who can contribute.”

Love’s directorial debut for the company, Shy Love’s Mass Destruction, is scheduled for release in August, starring Cindy Crawford, Sandra Romain, Nadia Styles, Missy Monroe and Annie Cruz.

Love, who joined the industry in October 2003, was nominated for an AVN award this year for her directorial work in Justine’s Red Letters and Shy Love’s Cum Play With Me.
