India Bans Adult Toon Site Savitabhabhi.com

Monday, June 29th, 2009

India bans adult toon site savitabhabhi.comAccording to Reuters, India’s government has banned the popular, and controversial, cartoon porn site Savitabhabhi.com.

In a communication dated June 3, the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology asked all ISPs to block the site.

Under the IT Act, the Controller of Certifying Authorities (CCA), a government agency that falls under the rubric of the Department of Information Technology, is entrusted to block websites. “There were several complaints against the site. We have taken action under the relevant sections of the IT Act and blocked the site,” said N. Vijayaditya, of the CCA.

Concerns have been growing over upcoming amendments to the IT Act that would give the Indian government power to block any website, without allowing site owners/creators a legal hearing or naming their reason for doing so.

The year-old Savitabhabhi.com is an adult cartoon strip featuring a married Indian woman’s sexual adventures. Considering the relative conservatism of the nation, the site was met with problems from its inception, despite its enormous popularity, evidenced by the more than 1 million weekly site visitors before the ban went into effect.

When reached for comment, the main brain behind Savitabhabhi.com, who goes by the handle Deshmukh, wrote in an e-mail interview with ContentSutra.com that they were exploring legal options. “We are talking to our lawyers and trying to figure out our options. The initial reaction is since the site does not pose any threat to India’s national security and is not illegal, it must be against some international treaty to block it. However, we are still working on the legal angle.”

The site’s owners are based in the European Union; at press time, they had not received any notification about the site ban.

When reached for comment by ContentSutra, graphic novelist Sarnath Banerjee, who is writing a collection of short stories about sex in India, said, “Wow, India has now joined the elite club of China, Iran, North Korea and suchlike in the area of Internet censorship.”

Skunk Magazine featured ‘Bong Load Girls’ by Rob Rotten

Monday, June 22nd, 2009

Skunk Magazine featured Bong Loaded GirlsPunk pornographer and social misfit Rob Rotten is flying high this week after learning that Bong Load Girls, his ode to stoner snatch, is featured in the current issue of “Skunk” magazine, the second largest marijuana magazine on the market.

“I’ve been reading Skunk magazine for years,” said Rotten. “This is a tremendous honor. I just hope I can remember receiving it, bro.”

Bong Load Girls receives a complete write-up and a six page spread in Skunk magazine’s premiere “Sex Issue (Vol. 5, Issue 3)”, available on newsstands now. BLG star Kat is also the first girl to be featured on a cover in the publication’s five year history.

“We normally dedicate the cover of the magazine to a strain and then spotlight a girl in the bottom right corner. So this is unheard of territory for us,” explained Skunk editor Seth Fischer. “However, when you come across a shot of a cute girl holding up a bong with a bowl packed, you gotta switch it up.”

Rotten’s mix of gonzo and ganja also impressed the Skunk staff considerably.

“A movie like this truly is the best of both worlds,” said Fischer. “There have been adult films that have had mentions and visuals of weed, but this is the first where the two loves—porn and pot—seem to be truly appreciated. Who wouldn’t be infatuated with cute girls who can probably smoke most guys under the table?”

Bong Load Girls also stars Jaime Elle, Daisy Tanks, Scarlett Pain, Ruby Knox, Jeanie Marie, and Kaylee Lovecox.

Mistress Sabrina Belladonna dies…

Tuesday, June 16th, 2009

Sabrina BelladonnaMistress Sabrina Belladonna, who appeared in numerous fetish videos for London Video, Close-Up Concepts and other production companies, and who was considered Los Angeles’ top dominatrix for years, has died after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Belladonna died June 7. A memorial gathering, at which some 150 people attended, was held on June 11 at the Los Angeles home where she and her husband lived.

For several years starting in the mid-1990s, Belladonna was widely considered the top dominatrix in the downtown Los Angeles dungeon scene. She and Mistress Isabella Sinclair, who now owns fetish production company Gwen Media, were two of four principals in a dungeon located on Factory Place downtown for a few years starting in the late 1990s.

Belladonna was also a BDSM educator and performer, putting on live fetish performances at various fetish balls and clubs, including the now-defunct Sin-A-Matic in West Hollywood.

Belladonna’s video credits include Domina Nation and Honor Thy Bitch from London Video/Lyndon Distributors and Misbehaving Maid and Tales of Tickling from Close-Up Concepts.

Other adult industry figures who were friends with Belladonna through the fetish scene were Vivid Alt/Pirate director Dave Naz and JM/Robert Hill Releasing director Mike Ramone, the former editor-in-chief of AVN.

“Sabrina was ground zero of the L.A. fetish scene for years,” Ramone said. “I met her when I started attending her play parties in the late 1990s. She later became a huge influence on my BDSM development and evolution into a pro top. She was a very unique person – a very strong personality – and will be sorely missed.”

Rob Rotten Releases “The Best of Rachel Rotten vol. 1″

Tuesday, June 2nd, 2009

Rachel RottenMadcap director and social miscreant Rob Rotten has lived through motorcycle accidents, redneck bar fights, and the embarrassment of watching his horror-porn masterpiece The Texas Vibrator Massacre go unrewarded at this year’s AVN Awards Show. But, nothing in Rotten’s God-forgotten life has ever ripped his heart out like the loss of his beloved Rachel Rotten.

In fond memory of his ex-girlfriend’s insides, the punk rock auteur has spawned The Best of Rachel Rotten vol. 1, a collection of previously unreleased footage starring the iconic alt star. The DVD ships to retailers and distributors June 1st through JM Productions.

“I get e-mails and letters every day from people asking if Rachel will ever come back to porn,” laments Rotten. “I wish she would, because me and her had some really good times together. I remember how good it felt to cum in her mouth and stuff, we really had something special.”

The Best of Rachel Rotten showcases Rob and Rachel’s love affair in six never-before released hardcore fuck scenes, featuring exclusive commentary from Rotten. The production arrives on the heels of Rotten’s critically acclaimed dope show Bong Load Girls.

While some may question Rotten’s decision to look back instead of forward, JM publicist Tony Malice understands the industry vet’s vision.

“To fully understand Rob’s future, one must understand his past,” Malice explains. “Rachel entered the porn industry at the ripe age of 18 after being convinced by Rob that eating sperm for money was the punk rock thing to do. It was an extremely romantic time in Rob’s life. The only thing he loved more than Rachel was the Germs cassettes he stole from Sam Goody as a kid.”

Though Rotten has yet to disclose the reason for their breakup, Malice suspects that the relationship may have come to an end over the director’s inexplicable “Poison” tattoo, curiously located on his shaft.

“Every time she blew him, she saw that Poison tat and thought about Bret Michaels,” he speculates. “Rob’s a talented pornographer, but even he can’t compare to the guy who wrote ‘Here I Go Again’ … oh, wait, that was Whitesnake.”
